Dingle Way, Day 6, Castlegregory to Camp The final assault La derniere attaque

So off I went, through a quiet countryside road first, enjoying myself, last day at last!

I was enjoying the views with a greater conscious effort because of being the end, of the walk.

A very unusual Bridge design, yet very effective.

After the countryside, started a long beach walk, I knew I was heading towards bad news (the rain) after 5 days without it, It was looking as if this last day could be making up for the lack of it. And for about an hour or so I was just surrounded but no rain, until I reached 4km outside camp and it poured, making the beach walk impossible.

So I sadly had to surrender from the beach way, heading back to the last beach entry I saw, hoping to find shelter in the camping. NONE I had to stood under a tree for a while (not very wise I know) I felt beheaded like the marker I saw, weathered and shattered. I carried on the main road, where cars were flying by me so close. And it rained, and it rained… I could not take it anymore, saw a little path to what looked like a church, followed it, good instinct or god, lead me to a little chapel where I waited for the bleeding rain to stop lashing.

10-15 min later I was clear to go, carried on to the abandoned petrol station in Camp where I would catch a lift back home. On the way back, we stopped into Tralee, it was weird to be in a city again and surrounded by people, going for a coffee… normal things, but I was so high from nature and happy, and blurting it all out! I wanted then to join a MOOC community and look after sheep and create a sustainable living community and never ever go back to a town… Then I woke up and reality checked in, I had to make a plan including all I had learned in the last 6 days and not forget about it.

Voila that's all folks!
